Glimpses of Lenten Charity
We the catechism department of St. Alphonsa Church, Kalewadi did a visit to Carmel MDC Home in Shirur on 3rd March 2024, and the remarkable support we provided, serves as a beacon of compassion and solidarity. It's truly inspiring to recount how our collective efforts, driven by the generosity of our catechism students, parents, and teachers, have touched the lives of the orphans and differently abled individuals at the home.
Acknowledging the crucial role played by our vicar, Fr. Kuriakose Kalaparambath, and the entire Alphonsa Family in supporting this initiative underscores the importance of community and leadership in fostering positive change. Together, we've exemplified the spirit of solidarity and compassion, demonstrating that when we come together with a shared purpose, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
Moreover, the awareness cultivated among our students about the blessings they've received and the importance of giving back reflects a profound understanding of empathy and social responsibility. Such lessons are invaluable, shaping young minds to become compassionate and empathetic individuals who strive to make meaningful contributions to society.
Our children's donation of the supplies, have alleviated some of the daily challenges faced by the home, ensuring that they can continue to provide for their residents with dignity and care. Our commitment to bringing smiles to their faces through performances and presence showcases the transformative power of kindness and empathy.
As we continue our journey of generosity and compassion, may our actions inspire others to join in our noble cause, spreading joy and hope to those in need. Together, let's strive to create a world where kindness knows no bounds, and every individual is embraced with love and support.
